Patricia Tumulak, Bb. Pilipinas Candidate # 6 (I am quite bothered with her breast/chest. Seen her Ms. Earth photos and they're not like that!) |
Ok! So yesterday, the Bb. Pilipinas 2011 candidates had their parade of Beauties all over Cubao Quezon City in Gray/Silver Bikinis while riding on a red convertibles.
Under the scorching heat of the sun and causing a huge traffic, Bb. Pilipinas 2011 candidates roam around Araneta Cubao during the pageant's segment called "Parade of the Beauties". One of the common reactions received from audience/viewers was that they feel that the candidates were exploited and the Parade of Beauties is in a way creates the image of prostitutions to Filipinas.
My thought:
This is serious. Indeed, Bb. Pilipinas Pageant is considered one of the highly respected pageants for women. However, with this kind of clothing during the parade, i don't think this will create a good and respectable image for the Filipinas. (Remember Diana Zubiri in her Edsa (???) FHM shot). One of these lovely ladies will represent the country and the Filipinas to the whole world and personally i don't like the idea of exposing them in this clothing to the public.
So to the Bb. Pilipinas organization, what's up with you???
And another thing, i have nothing against cosmetic surgery, but come on. I am not stereotyping that beauty queens are all "retokadas" and i am not even sure if they are. It's just that they looked as if they had some enhancements done which are pretty obvious and are not creating good impressions. In addition, can the Organization promotes natural beauty?! With too much/heavy make up on the candidates, they look different and sometimes, (I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST DRAG QUEENS/GAYS) they look more gay-er than those seen in Club mwah! In short, the real woman looks like a real gay guy, while those in Club Mwah looks more of a real woman. Seriously!
