oh ok..so last tuesday, that would be April 7, 2009 i went to have my NBI clearance renewed becoz its one of the requirements for CPA board exam application. Unfortunately...i lost my NBI..i dont know where ive put it, i think it's just at home but i misplaced it.
i called NBI before going there so i know what i should bring and what the procedures in applying for a new one. The lady i spoke with over the phone said that i should go there asap bec there are few people are appying for nbi that time. so i went there without fixing myself (fixing / prepping up- for girls, means you really look good..went out in style and with make up and everything)
i just tied my hair in ponytail then just flipflops, sleeveless stop and capri pants. i went directly and quickly do all the procedures; ***These are for new applicants ok***
step 1: have to buy an entrance ticket for 20.00 then once you have it you can enter the nbi premise that they have in Carriedo Quiapo (bldg infront of greenwich)
step 2: get application form (there's a booth there where you can get the form that you have to fill up with all your personal info) ---***bring black or blue pen***
step 3: payment; there's diff amounts for diff. category of nbi clearance- as far as i can remember for local purpose that would cost you P115.00; for naturalization, acr etc it would be around P250.00
step 4: go to 3rd floor for data check - that would be the people in the cubicle at the center of that hall, you will be giving them the entrance ticket/admission ticket (the one that costs you P20.00 remember?!) after that just behind them is the verification spot you just have to provide them your official receipt for the P115.00.
Step 5: image capture, on that same floor, you will find a queue of people waiting to have their picture taken...provide them your form and receipt
Step 6: go to 4th flr, for the finger printing, again you have to fall in line...(remember to get thru the right entrance, or else someone will call your attention, of course you dont want to embarass yourself in that number of people...) so please "READ"!!! Know the difference between Entrance and Exit...=) by the way, for the ink removal which just a sheet of wet tissue it will cost you P2.00.
Step 7: go to the registration so that they can verify your record, that same floor also (4th flr)
Step 8: Issuance, you just have to fall in line, provide the clerk your receipt and then wait for the printer to print out your nbi clearance...
****actually it's easy, it's just that there are a lot people getting their NBI and that it is really hot in the venue...****
also, NBI has this booth, i guess its the NBI automated clearance machine.
you have to have that NBI clearance ID so that you can get NBI clearance without having to fall in line or anything...i believe that they have that booth in SM Megamall, NBI Carriedo and some other malls....
how to get NBI ID...you have to have your NBI Clearance then apply for that ID. it will cost you P120.00 and you will have your pic taken but mind you, your picture on that ID is BBBBAAADDD!!! It's black and White dude, it's as if it's just a dirt on the ID.
Anyway, those are the experience and procedure i had while getting my NBI. =)
